Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge Beachfill

Storms have caused breaches and degraded part of the marsh, which is an important stopover site for migratory birds and provides protected breeding habitat for threatened and endangered species. USACE is dredging more than one million cubic yards of sand from the Delaware Bay and using it to build a dune and berm.
