New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway Dredging and Marsh Restoration
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the state of New Jersey and several non-profit organizations, is dredging shoals from the federal channel of the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway and using the material to restore degraded marsh owned by the state. Work began near Avalon, NJ in November of 2015 and is expect to be completed by February of 2016.
