    BELTZVILLE (April 29, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District is bidding farewell to George Sauls, the Northern Area Engineer who retired after serving for more than 40 years. He was closely involved with numerous civil works projects and mentored many employees throughout his career.
  • Army Corps to reopen Delaware City Bridge

    DELAWARE CITY, DE (April 26, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District announced that it anticipates reopening the Delaware City Bridge (5th street/Rte. 9) on Friday, April 28 2017 barring any weather delays. Additional work in the surrounding area will continue after April 28, but will not impact vehicular traffic.

    HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held its first-ever regional collaboration meeting with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Tuesday at the Rachel Carson Building, aimed at increasing awareness of interagency capabilities and strengthening partnerships.
  • Army Corps to host annual Take Pride in Blue Marsh Day

    Blue Marsh Lake will be holding its 36th annual “Take Pride in Blue Marsh” volunteer work program on April 29, 2017. Various projects for the day include: litter pickup, seedling planting, trail work, wildlife habitat improvement, table painting, trail improvements, landscaping and other projects. Friends, family and organizations are invited to join the project staff for a day in the great outdoors.
