    The applicant is proposing to construct a new bridge protection system. The proposed work would include the installation of eight (8) separate solid-fill dolphin cells. Each cell would measure eighty (80) feet in diameter. Four cells would be installed at the piers supporting the western towers with two cells on the upstream side and two cells on the downstream side. The same configuration would be utilized for the dolphin cells at the piers supporting the eastern towers of the bridge. The dolphin cells at the western towers would be located a minimum of 454 feet from the edge of the Delaware River Federal navigation channel while the dolphin cells at the eastern towers would be located a minimum of 413 feet from the edge of the Delaware River Federal navigation channel. The proposed work is located in the Delaware River adjacent to the existing bridge piers supporting the center span of the Delaware Memorial Bridge between New Castle County, Delaware and Salem County, New Jersey. Coordinates for the project are: 39.688866 North Latitude and 75.518553 West Longitude.

    ACTIVITY: The applicant, Perdue Agribusiness, has applied for a 10-year maintenance dredging permit. Perdue Agribusiness proposes to conduct hydraulic dredging of a portion of the Nanticoke River that was recently dredged in 2011, in order to develop a barge loading/unloading facility in Seaford, Sussex County, Delaware. The project involves the hydraulic removal of approximately 7,800 cubic yards of sand and clay to a depth of -14’ MLLW and pumping the dredged material into geotubes located on Perdue Agribusiness property adjacent to the dredge site for dewatering purposes. The dredged material would be utilized at other Perdue facilities in Delaware and Maryland. The project location is indicated on the attached plans identified as Exhibit 1 through Exhibit 4.

    LOCATION: Decimal Latitude: 39.155671° North; Longitude: -74.702634° West The project site is located along the southastern shore of Ludlam Thorofare, approximately 1,600 feet southwest of the Sea Isle Boulevard bridge (County Route 625); at 4480-4482 Venicean Road; Block 44.05, Lots 97-98; in Sea Isle City, Cape May County, New Jersey. The property contains a two-unit condominium residence. A location map is included with this notice. ACTIVITY: The applicant proposes to modify and legalize an existing dock arrangement and perform maintenance dredging by hydraulic (pipeline method) in Ludlam Thorofare. It is proposed to dredge to a maximum depth of 4 feet below MLW. The dredged material would be transported by 10-inch plastic pipe, sunk to the waterway bottom, to an existing confined disposal facility (CDF) owned by the City of Sea Isle City, located along the southwest side of Rio Grande Lagoon at Ludlum Thorofare.
