Reference is made to a previous Public Notice (September 2022) proposing the reissuance of Department of the Army General Permit New Jersey-SPGP-17 for the construction of structures, work, and the discharge of dredged and fill material in substantially developed artificial tidal lagoons in the State of New Jersey. After a complete review of our file and full consideration of the comments and recommendations received, the reissuance of NJSPGP-17 was signed on December 29, 2022. The NJSPGP-17 was implemented and in full effect in the applicable portions of the State of New Jersey on January 1, 2023. This General Permit authorizes the construction of structures, work, and the discharge of dredged and fill material in substantially developed artificial tidal lagoons in the State of New Jersey. This General Permit is applicable to the appropriate navigable waters located within the geographic boundaries of both the Philadelphia District and the New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
