    The applicant, Cape May Harbor Village and Yacht Club Association, proposes to perform mechanical maintenance dredging within the existing 2.77 acre marina and 2.18 acre ingress/egress access channel. Dredging is proposed within the existing Cape May Harbor marina basin and access channel in the City of Cape May, Cape May County, New Jersey. The dredged material would be disposed on uplands at the Surran Nurseries property, 216 Route 50, Corbin City, Atlantic County, New Jersey. The applicant’s stated purpose is to provide sufficient water depths for safe navigation and mooring of private pleasure crafts associated with the marina.   • State Programmatic Permit 17 Revision

    Expiration date: 10/20/2019

    Notice is hereby given that the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, proposes to modify the above referenced Department of the Army General Permit CENAP-OP-RSPGP-17. This general permit has been developed for certain categories of structures and work and the discharge of dredged and fill material in waters of the U.S. that require Department of the Army and State of New Jersey authorizations. Typical activities authorized by this general permit include minor dredging, bulkheads construction and replacement, breakwaters, piers, docks, pilings, rip-rap, dredging and filling, etc. The revalidation and extension of General Permit SPGP-17 was coordinated with other interested Federal agencies, the State of New Jersey and the general public. More details are available in the "Public Notice" attachment. Public comments are due by Oct. 20, 2019. 

  • Special Public Notice 19-01

    On September 12, 2019, the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of the Army (the agencies) signed a final rule to repeal the 2015 Clean Water Rule (2015 Rule) and re-codify the regulatory text defining "waters of the United States" (WOTUS) that existed prior to the 2015 Rule. This action will, when effective, provide regulatory certainty as to the definition of “waters of the United States” in light of ongoing litigation over the 2015 Rule. This final rule will be implemented in accordance with Supreme Court decisions, agency guidance, and longstanding practice. Additional details are in the attached "Special Public Notice" document.

    The applicant, Ocean City Fishing Club, proposes to extend the existing Ocean City fishing pier (1516 Boardwalk, Ocean City, New Jersey 08226) by 132-linear feet and 6-inches seaward into the Atlantic Ocean. The stated purpose of this project is to restore access to the Ocean City Fishing Club to appropriate depths for recreation fishing.
