    The applicant, United States Navy, proposes to mechanically perform maintenance dredging of approximately 150,000 cubic yards of sediment from the west berth (downstream) of Pier 4 Philadelphia Naval Yard Annex, Broad Street, City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A total area of 9.2 acres of riverbottom adjacent to the Pier 4 would be dredged. The applicant's stated purpose for the dredging is to maintain appropriate water depths for the maneuvering and berthing of naval vessels.     The applicant, New Jersey Department of Transportation – Office of Maritime Resources, has requested Department of the Army authorization to perform ten (10)-year maintenance dredging of three (3) channels within Barnegat Bay, identified as the Berkeley Shores State Channel Complex: Berkeley Shores North Channel, Berkeley Shores Channel, and Berkeley Shores Spur Channel. All of the work would be accomplished via hydraulic cutterhead dredge or mechanical bucket dredge. The stated purpose of this project is to restore and maintain safe navigational depths for transiting recreational and emergency vessels in Barnegat Bay. Pierson Construction Company, Incorporated, proposes to perform hydraulic dredging to provide access/egress by marine construction transport barges drafting 6.5 to 8.0 feet of water fully loaded, to two properties located in Oldmans and Logan Townships, Salem and Gloucester Counties, New Jersey. The project begins within an area of the Delaware River located near River Mile Marker 76, in New Castle County, Delaware, and extends into Oldmans Creek just west the U.S. Route 130 Bridge, in Oldmans and Logan Townships, Salem and Gloucester Counties, New Jersey.     The applicant, the City of Philadelphia (Philadelphia Water Department), proposes the following activity: the installation of approximately 5,400 square feet of Floating Classroom with an additional 960 square feet of floating docks tied to the south end of the Classroom. The location of the proposed activity is along the eastern bank of the Schuylkill River, immediately downstream of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (a.k.a. West River Drive) bridge, in the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The applicant has stated the project purposes are for education relating to water quality and the conservation, preservation of natural resources, and public access to the river.     The applicant proposes to rehabilitate 600 feet of Pier 7 at the Gloucester Marine Terminal in Gloucester City, Camden County, New Jersey. Pier 7 is located along Newton Creek and is connected to Pier 7A, which is located on the Delaware River side. Both piers are upstream of the Walt Whitman Bridge and are utilized together to handle all products from vessels that berth there.
