A Public Notice is the primary method of advising interested public agencies and private parties of the proposed activity and soliciting comments and information to evaluate the potential impacts of a proposed project.  Public notices are issued for Department of the Army Individual Permits.  Comment periods last for 15 or 30 days, depending on the complexity of the project.

As of May 1, 2006, the Philadelphia District Regulatory Branch no longer mails paper copies of Public Notices, except on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of this office.  Instead, Public Notices are available on this page and comments may be submitted to the Project Manager via email. or you may fax or mail your comments to the number or address listed below. Public Notices will be placed in the Archive upon expiration of the comment period.
