About Philadelphia District
The Philadelphia District was established in 1866 to manage the water resources of the Delaware River Basin, and of the Atlantic Coast from the Manasquan Inlet of New Jersey to the southern boundary of Delaware. We serve more than nine million people across portions of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. We also directly support two military installations -- Dover Air Force Base, Del. and Fort Dix, N.J. -- along with relocation of the Army's C4ISR high-tech systems R&D program to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
