The permit applicant, NJDOT-Office of Maritime Resources, proposes to conduct ten-year maintenance dredging of the Ship Bottom State Navigation Channel Complex, which is comprised of Margos State Navigation Channel #143, Beach Haven West State Navigation Channel #144, Mill Creek State Navigation Channel #145, and Little Egg State Navigation Channel #157; with disposal of all dredged material into a subaqueous former sand borrow pit known as Dredged Hole #61 located in Barnegat Bay near Long Beach, Ocean County, New Jersey, for aquatic habitat restoration. The stated purpose of the project is to maintain safe navigational depths for transiting emergency, commercial, and recreational vessels.

In the 8 January 2026 Federal Register (91 FR 768), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) announced the reissuance of 56 existing Nationwide Permits (NWPs) and the issuance of one (1) new NWP. One NWP was not reissued. In this Federal Register notice, the Corps also announced the reissuance of 32 existing NWP general conditions. The NWPs and the general conditions go into effect on 15 March 2026. With the publication in the Federal Register, the Corps will begin finalizing regional conditions within the State of Pennsylvania.

NorthStar Marina Holdings, LLC proposes to expand and reconfigure an existing marina, to legalize previously unpermitted modifications to the existing docks in their current configuration and construct a mooring field within the Barnegat Bay South Project Area to provide mooring for 30 additional vessels beyond the existing configuration, including 14 transient vessels and one slip to accommodate transient dinghies. The project area is located at and near to 1501 Bayview Avenue in the Borough of Barnegat Light, Ocean County, New Jersey.

The applicant has applied for a Department of the Army 10-year maintenance permit to conduct periodic dredging for beach nourishment along approximately 1,950 linear feet of shoreline in the Middlesex Beach Community between Bethany Beach and South Bethany Beach in Sussex County, Delaware. In order to minimize costs and impacts, it is the intent of the applicant to conduct the nourishment activity in coordination with the surrounding Federal Project nourishments. As such, the method of sand placement will match that of the Federal Project by either cutter suction dredge with booster pumps or by a trailing suction hopper dredge equipped with a pumpout capability from the offshore Fenwick Borrow Area or Borrow Area E located in the Atlantic Ocean. The nourishment area will match that of the Federal Project design template, without the dune and is expected to require approximately 103,000 cubic yards of dredged material.

EcoEnergy Proposes to perform maintenance dredging of the berthing area for Pier 124 to 16’ Mean Low Water (MLW) plus 2 feet of overdredge. Approximately 15,000 cubic yards of material per event approximately biennially, from the berthing areas at Pier 124 on the Delaware River. This is expected to result in five (5) dredging events, with a predicted volume of 75,000 cubic yards.

The stated purpose of the project is to maintain safe navigational depths for transiting emergency, commercial, and recreational vessels. Due to substantial shoaling present within Nacote Creek Basin State Navigation Channel #167, the permit applicant requested a 15-day Public Notice for the proposed project to allow for maintenance dredging to be conducted during Fall 2025.

The permit, US Fish and Wildlife Service, proposed to complete living shoreline activities and marsh restoration at Popular Point in Stafford Township, Ocean County, New Jersey. The living shoreline includes the creation of a dune/beach area and a sill for bank stabilization purposes. The marsh restoration will use dredge material and organic material to fill ditches and low elevation areas to the existing marsh. The purpose and need of the Project is to restore and enhance coastal back bay salt marsh foraging and nesting habitat for priority migratory bird species at USFWS’s Popular Point by restoring and reestablishing previously existing vegetated marsh habitat and using nature-based design elements to improve resiliency of the restored habitat.

Riverside Construction Materials (RCM) proposes to complete dock maintenance and improvements (including expansion) at its existing Port Bristol Terminal located along the Delaware River in Bristol, Bucks County, PA (40.130908, -74.821509). The existing 45’ by 590’ floating dock would be replaced with a 55.25’ by 899’ fixed concrete mooring pier with three new associated breasting dolphins. Two new catwalks and an associated mooring dolphin measuring would also be constructed, and the existing conveyor would be replaced in-kind. The applicant proposes to start construction in July of 2025. The total project is anticipated to take approximately 2 years, with in-water work being performed throughout that time period. The stated purpose of the project is to replace the deteriorated docking system with a modern system that provides safer, more stable mooring, provides greater flexibility for the offloading and loading of barges and vessels, and is more resilient to extreme weather events.
