Three days after receiving $28 million in federal funding, USACE has published a contract solicitation for dune and beachfill work in Sea Isle City and Upper Township (Strathmere), N.J. USACE will continue to expedite pre-construction steps consistent with the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works’ “Building Infrastructure, Not Paperwork” initiative.&lt;br/&gt;

Precipitation throughout the early part of the summer has enabled the Army Corps to schedule the first five increments of the plan. &lt;br/&gt;

      <description>The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District will be conducting concrete deck repairs on the Senator William V. Roth, Jr. Bridge (SR-1) in Delaware beginning July 6th and ending in late August. The repair work will require single lane closures.  &lt;br/&gt;

The main span is 750 feet long and the overall length of the bridge is 4,650 feet.' /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;

      <description>PHILADELPHIA (Mar. 9, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District announces that Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite, USACE Commanding General and the 54th U.S. Army Chief of Engineers, has signed the Chief’s Report for the “Delaware Beneficial Use of Dredged Material for the Delaware River Feasibility Study” — a key milestone for the proposed project. The signing of the report advances the project to Congress for authorization.&lt;br/&gt;

Ms. Stacey Brown, Chief of Planning and Policy Division, USACE Headquarters, and Mr. Wesley Coleman, Chief of Office of Water Project Review, USACE Headquarters participated in the official signing ceremony. The study recommends beneficially using dredged material for beach nourishment in multiple Delaware bay communities.' /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
