PHILADELPHIA -- On Friday April 4, representatives from more than 100 groups --- public and private, environmental and economic, regulatory and academic -- will gather at the Academy of Natural Sciences here to discuss the Delaware River and its surrounding watershed, so vital to the region.
From 8:00 to 4:00 attendees will get to hear presentations and participate in discussions on a wide array of topics, ranging from water quality and open space to brownfields restoration and economic development.
The meeting is part of a new federal initiative called the Urban Waters Federal Partnership.
For the news media, it is an opportunity to hear and meet experts and officials from a dozen federal agencies, the states, counties and cities of the region, its great universities and a host of environmental and other non-profit groups.
If you would like to attend or receive more information about the event please email Richard Pearsall.
