The permit applicant, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, NJDOT’s Office of Maritime Resources, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s Coastal Program, proposes undertake the Lighthouse Center Marsh Restoration Project. The stated purpose of the project is to restore and enhance coastal back bay salt marsh habitat and improve public access for non-motorized vessels at the Lighthouse Center located in western Barnegat Bay in Waretown, Ocean County, New Jersey.
