The Army Corps worked with the City of Margate and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to design a permanent stormwater management system. The five ocean outfalls are located at Vendome, Nassau, Kenyon, Franklin and Douglas Avenues. Each outfall is oriented perpendicular to the shoreline and conveys stormwater to the ocean. The outfalls are buried beneath the dune and beach, daylighting near the shoreline.
