Long Beach Island Beachfill

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District pumped 1.2 million cubic yards of sand onto Brant Beach in Long Beach Township, NJ in 2012. Coastal Storm Risk Reduction projects like this one prevented millions of dollars in damages from Hurricane Sandy. USACE is returning this summer to repair and restore the project.
