Monica Chasten began working for George Sauls as a co-op student from Drexel in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Philadelphia District in the Hydrology and Hydraulics Branch. On April 29, 2017, Sauls retired after serving for more than 40 years. He was closely involved with numerous civil works projects and mentored many employees throughout his career.
