Army Corps to host annual Take Pride in Blue Marsh Day

LEESPORT, PA – Blue Marsh Lake will be holding its 36th annual “Take Pride in Blue Marsh” volunteer work program on April 21st, 2018. Various projects for the day include: litter pickup, seedling planting, trail work, wildlife habitat improvement, table painting, trail improvements, landscaping and other projects. Friends, family and organizations are invited to join the project staff for a day in the great outdoors.  

Groups that would like to participate should attend an organizational meeting at the Conference Center at the Blue Marsh Lake project office on April 11th at 7:00 p.m. so staff can accommodate volunteer needs.

Litter pickup groups and individuals who would like to plant seedlings should meet at the Visitor Center at 9:00 a.m.

A cookout will be held for the volunteers at noon with donations from various local businesses. Blue Marsh Lake rangers anticipate more than 400 volunteers will participate in this year’s program.
