Army Corps schedules St. Georges Bridge repair work

St. Georges Bridge (Delaware Route 13) is owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District. The bridge was originally constructed in 1941.

PHILADELPHIA, PA. (April 22, 2019) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District and its contractor Freyssinet, Inc. will be completing repairs to the St. Georges Bridge. Work will be conducted from Monday April 29 through Saturday May 4 during the hours of  7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Both lanes of the bridge will remain open during the project; however a lane shift through the bike lane will be enacted. Flaggers will be on hand to halt vehicular traffic to allow bicyclists safe passage when necessary.
