Parking Changes at Dry Brooks Boat Launch at Blue Marsh Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be implementing changes to traffic, parking, and recreational operations at the boat launches operated by USACE Blue Marsh Lake. The modifications to parking and recreational activities will help resolve ongoing congestion issues and ultimately improve visitor safety and experiences. Changes to occur starting on May 1, 2021:

  • Dry Brooks Boat Launch – To alleviate parking conflicts between single vehicles and boat trailers on busy days, a designated single vehicle parking area will be implemented on weekends and holidays, similar to the restrictions at State Hill Boat Launch. Single vehicle spaces will be marked with yellow paint.
  • State Hill Boat Launch - Due to multiple issues over the past few years, picnicking and tents/canopies will no longer be permitted at the Boat Beach. The Boat Beach is designated only for launching purposes of non-powered vessels, temporary mooring to load and unload passengers/materials, or facilities use.

There are two designated picnic areas that will remain available for those who wish to picnic, located by the single vehicle lot and the grass area adjacent to the comfort station.

We appreciate your cooperation to improve the operations and visitor experiences at the park.
