The U.S. Army Corps Engineers Philadelphia District announced it does not have enough water storage to hold a whitewater release Sept. 14 from the Francis E. Walter Dam.

The event would have marked the final whitewater release of the 2012 recreation season. In 2012, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District held 22 whitewater releases and numerous fisheries enhancement water releases.
