PHILADELPHIA (October 7, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps Engineers’ Philadelphia District has updated the 2015 Francis E. Walter Dam recreation plan with an increase to flow for the final recreational water releases of the season.

Due to the accumulation of additional water, USACE will release 4000 cubic feet per second of water on Saturday, Oct. 10 and 3000 cubic feet per second of water on Sunday, Oct. 11. Both releases will be made from 1:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as normal. A release of 400 cubic feet per second of water will be made on Friday and Monday as originally planned. The original plan called for releases of 1700 cubic feet per second on Saturday and 1000 cubic feet per second on Sunday.

During the 2015 season, USACE has held numerous fisheries enhancement water releases and all 20 whitewater releases with 6 additional dates based on the accumulation of additional water.
