  • Army Corps awards contract for Rehoboth and Dewey beach nourishment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District awarded a contract to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company LLC of Oak Brook, Illinois for $7.21 million to conduct periodic nourishment of the Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach Coastal Storm Risk Management project. The project is a joint effort of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.
  • Army Corps awards contract for Seven Mile Island beachfill

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District awarded a contract to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company of Oak Brook, Ill. for $7.5 million to complete periodic nourishment of the Townsends Inlet to Cape May Inlet (Avalon and Stone Harbor) Coastal Storm Risk Management project. The project is a joint effort of the Army Corps’ Philadelphia District, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the communities of Avalon and Stone Harbor.
  • Army Corps dive team conducts inspections at Kwajalein Atoll

    The USACE Forward Response Technical Dive Team conducted above and below water inspections of waterfront infrastructure from Aug. 13-26 at the U.S. Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The dive team performs underwater inspections around the world on behalf of the Army’s Installation Management Command.
