  • Army Corps updates status on Chesapeake City Bridge closures

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Philadelphia District shared an update on ongoing repair work on the Chesapeake City Bridge in Cecil County, Maryland. Work includes repairs of the bridge expansion joints and will require periodic single-lane closures. Single lane closures are currently estimated to take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. ​No lane closures will take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Work is estimated to continue through late December. 
  • Army Corps to switch traffic patterns for SR-1 Bridge Repairs

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District and its contractor are continuing work to replace the concrete deck overlay on the Senator William V. Roth, Jr. Bridge (SR-1) in Delaware. Lane restrictions will be in place periodically over several months. Traffic patterns will be altered from May 2-5.
  • Army Corps to conduct repairs on SR-1 Bridge in Delaware

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District will be replacing the concrete deck overlay on the Senator William V. Roth, Jr. Bridge (SR-1) in Delaware beginning March 14th and ending in December 2022. The repair work will require lane restrictions and changing traffic patterns, as well as single and double lane closures.
  • Army Corps to conduct repairs on St. Georges Bridge

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District and its contractor Freyssinet, Inc. will be completing joint seal repairs on the St. Georges Bridge in Delaware. Work will be conducted from Monday November 18 through Friday November 22 between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
