  • Army Corps releases draft report for flood risk management study; Public meeting to be held July 29 in Lambertville

    PHILADELPHIA (July 24, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) released a draft report for a flood risk management feasibility study and are accepting public comments on the proposal. USACE and NJDEP will host a public workshop on July 29 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Lambertville Justice Center at 25 S. Union Street to discuss the recommended plan detailed in the report.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) released a draft report for a flood risk management feasibility study and are now accepting public comments on the proposal. USACE and NJDEP will host a public workshop on August 13th from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Greenwich Township Library at 411 Swedesboro Rd to discuss the recommended plan detailed in the report.
  • Army Corps updates water release schedule at Francis E. Walter Dam

    PHILADELPHIA (July 20, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps Engineers’ Philadelphia District updated the 2015 Francis E. Walter Dam recreation plan. The Corps updated the plan, which states whitewater and fisheries releases will be scheduled if enough water storage is accumulated in the reservoir. Precipitation throughout the early part of the summer has enabled the Army Corps to add the first five increments of the plan, which includes 4 additional whitewater releases and fisheries enhancement water releases from July 25-Sept 11.
