The applicant, the Township of Little Egg Harbor, proposes to hydraulically dredge accumulated sediment from several creeks and man-made lagoons within Little Egg Harbor Township and Tuckerton Borough, and to beneficially reuse the dredged material by depositing it on nearby areas of degraded tidal marsh and creating a living shoreline. Sediment enrichment would occur by depositing 151,350 cubic yards (CY) of suitable dredged sediment across five distinct areas of degraded tidal salt marsh along Great Bay Boulevard in Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The total area of proposed sediment deposition is approximately 50.461 acres. The living shoreline is proposed to be constructed at the end of Iowa Court in Little Egg Harbor Township.
