The Town of Fenwick Island has applied for a 10-year maintenance dredging permit. The applicant proposes to conduct hydraulic dredging within 2 channels (North and South Channel) located in Lighthouse Cove in the Little Assawoman Bay, Fenwick Island, Sussex County, Delaware. An estimated 19,000 cubic yards of material is expected to be dredged. The dredged material will be hydraulically pumped to a proposed confined upland disposal site located on the east side of Bennett Avenue. The purpose of the project is to improve recreational vessel access and safety. More details are available in the "Public Notice & Plan Details" attachment.
