The applicant, New Jersey Department of Transportation – Office of Maritime Resources (NJDOT-OMR), has requested Department of the Army (DA) authorization to perform ten (10)-year maintenance dredging of Fortescue Creek State Channel (#211) located in Delaware Bay. All of the dredging work would be accomplished via hydraulic cutterhead dredge. All resultant dredged material, estimated to total approximately 40,421.0-cubic yards of coarse-grained sediment (i.e. greater than 90% sand), would be transported via floating and submerged pipeline for shoreline placement at Fortescue Beach in Downe Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey.
