The applicant, New Jersey Department of Transportation – Office of Maritime Resources (NJDOT-OMR), has requested Department of the Army (DA) authorization to perform ten (10)-year maintenance dredging of Patcong Creek State Channel (#179); and undertake repairs to the Beesley’s Point Confined Disposal Facility. The locations for the proposed work are as follows: Patcong Creek and Great Egg Harbor Bay in Egg Harbor Township in Atlantic County, New Jersey; Beesley’s Point Confined Disposal Facility in Upper Township, Cape May County, New Jersey. The stated purpose of this project is to maintain safe navigational depths for transiting emergency, commercial, and recreational vessels; and maintain an existing Confined Disposal Facility.
