AdvanSix, Inc. proposes to undertake 10-year maintenance dredging in the Delaware River at the Phenol Barge Dock at the Frankford Marine Terminal located in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA (40.000861 N, -75.061274 W). All dredging would be to -17.0 feet MLLW (plus 2.0-feet of allowable overdredge) and would occur using a closed-clamshell environmental bucket. Over the course of the 10-year authorization it is projected that the sediment quantity would total no more than 10,000 cubic yards (up to 2,000 cubic yards per dredging event, occurring approximately once every two years). All resultant dredged material would be handled and disposed of at the Whites Basin CDF located in Logan Township, Gloucester County, NJ (39.822026, -75.350190). The stated purpose of the project is to maintain sufficient water depths for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo from maritime vessels at the Phenol Barge Dock.
