The permit applicant, the Borough of Avalon, proposes to conduct ten-year mechanical maintenance dredging of private vessel slips and access channel areas sited along tidal back bay navigation channels and man-made lagoons within the Borough of Avalon, Cape May County, New Jersey; with upland disposal of all dredged material. The stated purpose of the project is to maintain sufficient water depths for vessel dockage and safe navigation within the Borough of Avalon’s private vessel slip and access channel network.
