    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the United States Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division has approved use of emergency permit processing procedures for New Jersey, in accordance with 33 CFR § 325.2(e)(4), for the National Energy Emergency established by Executive Order (E.O.) 14156, issued on January 20, 2025. These special emergency processing procedures have been established pursuant to Sec. 4 of E.O.14156 for activities associated with the identification, siting, production, transportation, refining, and generation of domestic energy sources, including energy infrastructure, that require Department of the Army authorization under Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and/or Section 103 of the Marine Research, Protection, and Sanctuaries Act of 1972. More details are available in the Special Public Notice document and in the E.O. 14156 Federal Register notice.

These special emergency processing procedures have been established pursuant to Sec. 4 of E.O.14156 for activities associated with the identification, siting, production, transportation, refining, and generation of domestic energy sources, including energy infrastructure, that require Department of the Army authorization under Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and/or Section 103 of the Marine Research, Protection, and Sanctuaries Act of 1972.   • Special Public Notice - District Office Move

    After 30 years at the Wanamaker Building, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Philadelphia District is moving to a new location at 1650 Arch Street. The USACE Philadelphia District Regulatory Branch’s last day in the Wanamaker Building is Friday, October 28, 2022. USACE Philadelphia District Regulatory employees will be teleworking situationally until the new office space is ready.

    The applicant, New Jersey Department of Transportation – Office of Maritime Resources (NJDOT-OMR), has requested Department of the Army (DA) authorization to perform ten (10)-year maintenance dredging of the Cape May State Channel Complex: Middle Thoroughfare Lagoon State Channel (#205), Spicer’s Creek State Channel (#206), Cape Island Creek State Channel (#207), Schellenger’s Creek State Channel (#208), and Devil’s Reach State Channel (#209). The location for the proposed activity is in Cape May City and Lower Township, Cape May County, New Jersey. The stated purpose of this project is to maintain safe navigational depths for transiting emergency, commercial, and recreational vessels. More details are available in the "Public Notice" document. Public comments are requested by July 9, 2022.
