    Thomas Heist V of HudBod, LLC proposes to undertake 10-year mechanical maintenance dredging and to remove, replace, and construct mooring structures at an existing marina located in Bass Harbor at 101 Longport Boulevard in Egg Harbor Township, Atlantic County, NJ (formerly Graef Boat Yard). The total surface area of dock structures to be removed below HTL is approximately 7,107 S.F. +/- and the total surface area of proposed dock structures below HTL is approximately 8,088 S.F. +/-. Dredging would be to maintain a depth of -5’ MLW within the 1.09 acre area. The dredged material will be disposed of at Surran's Soil Replenishment, LLC (Block 301, Lot 17, Corbin City, Atlantic County, NJ) for re-use within the existing nursery facility. The stated purpose of this project is to replace and improve mooring structures and maintain sufficient water depths for safe navigation and docking at this existing marina.     The stated purpose is to rehabilitate and upgrade the existing dock/bulkhead infrastructure which is necessary for continued operation of the working commercial waterfront facility and shellfishery. The applicant has additionally stated that the purpose of the bulkhead re-construction is to allow for repairs of a failed timber bulkhead for both stabilization of eroding banks and minimization of flooding of the adjacent parking areas used for loading and un-loading of vessels moored at the facility.
