The dredged material will be hydraulically pumped to an existing confined upland disposal area located on site. The applicant expects dredging to occur in 6 year intervals, as such, the applicant is requesting a 10 year maintenance permit for hydraulic dredging.     The applicant, Pilottown Marina, Incorporated, has applied for a Department of the Army permit to conduct hydraulic maintenance dredging adjacent to the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal at the Pilottown Marina basin, City of Lewes, Sussex County, Delaware. The dredging would occur within the existing marina basin at Pilottown Road and Marina Drive. The project involves the removal, by hydraulic dredge, of approximately 4320 cubic yards of silty sediment which has accumulated within the basin. The construction of the facility and the proposed compensatory mitigation will impact a total of 0.995 acre (43,360 square feet) of wetlands and watercourses.
