The excavated material, composed primarily of silt and sand would be transported via pipeline to the Shaw Island disposal site in the City of Wildwood, Cape May County, New Jersey.     The proposed project involves the redevelopment of 550 linear feet of shoreline located on the western bank of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal beginning 700 feet south of the Delaware State Route One Highway Bridge in Rehoboth,Sussex County Delaware. The applicant is proposing to construct a community dock, mechanically dredge the area associated with the dock and stabilize the shoreline to provide recreational access to the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal for the proposed Oyster House Village development.     The applicant proposes to perform maintenance dredging within an existing tug boat basin located adjacent to the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal in Chesapeake City, Cecil County, Maryland. Approximately 15,784 cubic yards of material, composed primarily of fine sand, would be removed from a approximately 1.9 acres of the basin. The material would be removed using a hydraulic dredge, with the material being disposed of at an adjoining upland disposal site. Public comments are due by Sept. 15, 2018.     The applicant, Nanticoke Shores Associates, LLC has requested a Department of the Army permit to construct a 130’ x 4’ elevated walkway over wetlands, transitioning to a 67’ x 6’ fixed pier with an 8’ x 24’ fixed dock over open water. The applicant is also proposing to construct a 12’ x 6’ floating kayak dock on the east side of the fixed pier and installing 2 free standing pilings on the west side of the fixed pier. The proposed work will occur in Wilson Creek, within the Rehoboth Shores Campground, accessed via Bay Breeze Lane in Long Neck, Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware.     The applicant, Long Beach Township, proposes to remove an existing terminal groin (made of wood and stone), and construct a new, larger terminal groin using steel sheeting, core stone and armor stone (including re-use of existing stone). The applicant has stated that the existing deteriorating terminal groin is insufficient to slow long-shore transport of nourished beach sand to the south. The applicant is cost-sharing the project with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Division of Coastal Engineering. The project site is located on the ocean-front beach at the southern terminus of Long Beach Boulevard, just south of Cleveland Avenue in the Holgate section of Long Beach Township, Ocean County, New Jersey.
