    The applicant, the Schuylkill River Development Corporation, proposes to construct a 1,850 linear foot (12’ wide) pedestrian trail between the waterward terminus of 56th Street and 61st Street, City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The project would include the construction of a fishing platform on top of an existing seawall structure at the edge of the Schuylkill River just downstream of 56th Street and an overlook pier approximately 1,325 feet further downstream. The applicant’s stated purpose for the structures is to allow for safe public access to the river and to provide views closer to the river.     The Public Notice has been revised to reflect an inadvertent omission made in the original notice concerning the need for a Section 401 Water Quality Certificate. This revision can be found on Page 7 of the Public Notice document available at the above link (second entry). Public comments are due by Sept. 1, 2020. The applicant, Diamond State Port Corporation (DSPC), seeks authorization from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under the authorities of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act to discharge fill material and to conduct dredging and disposal activities within, and adjacent to, navigable waters of the United States at the proposed Port of Wilmington Edgemoor Expansion project site in New Castle County, Delaware. The proposal is intended to support the expansion of the Port of Wilmington by re-developing the Edgemoor site into a multi-use containerized cargo port. To that end, the DSPC intends to re-purpose an existing industrial site at the location of the former Chemours manufacturing facility.

    The applicant, New Jersey Department of Transportation – Office of Maritime Resources, has requested Department of the Army authorization to perform ten (10)-year maintenance dredging. The location of the proposed work is Sunflower Island, City of Brigantine, Atlantic County, New Jersey. All resultant dredged material, estimated to total approximately 38,165.0-cubic yards of predominantly coarse-grained sediment (i.e. greater than 70% sand), will be hydraulically pumped via pipeline and discharged at existing sand shoals off Sunflower Island for enhancement of shallow water habitat. The stated purpose of this project is to restore and maintain safe navigational depths for transiting recreational and emergency vessels; and enhancement of shallow water habitat by reutilization of dredged material within the “back bay” system.
